55-66 TYPE 2 BUS MASTER CYLINDER

This quality master cylinder is compatible with Volkswagen Type-2 Transporter/Bus or your custom dune buggy. This master cylinder is a direct replacement for the original part number 211 611 011J, which is a replacement for Volkswagen Type-2 Bus models from 1955 to 1966 (up to chassis number 217-019487). It can also be used for universal buggy applications that require a 22mm bore master cylinder with a residual valve.

This master cylinder is designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications and provide reliable braking performance. The 98-6021-B master cylinder comes with a machined exterior and a durable rubber boot to protect the piston from dirt and moisture. It does not include the brake light switch or the fluid reservoir, which are sold separately. You can choose from different options of reservoirs, such as the stock bus reservoir (EMPI 98-6020-B), the polished aluminum reservoir (EMPI 16-7040 or 18-1015), or the billet aluminum reservoir with a master cylinder kit (EMPI 00-6116-0 or 6114). You can also choose from different options of brake light switches, such as the 3-prong switch (EMPI 98-2057-B) or the 2-prong switch (EMPI 98-2058-B).

The EMPI 98-6021-B master cylinder has a 10mm x 1.0 inlet port and a 6mm x 1.0 outlet port. It also requires a sealing washer to connect to the reservoir (EMPI 99-2510-0, may come with your reservoir). The EMPI 98-6021-B master cylinder is a great choice for restoring or upgrading your Type-2 Bus or your custom dune buggy.
