These replacement paper gaskets from EMPI fit between the engine case and their oil cooler block-offs or bypasses. The gaskets are not a replacement for the rubber seals that fit between the stock Volkswagen oil cooler and the engine. We recommend customers do not use these as an alternative to (or in combination with) the stock oil cooler seals. They are designed for use with aftermarket components.
